Culture is a round-trip ticket.

Espírito Nativo's core is the wide variety of Latin American musical genres, shaping distinct projects, for which it invites different musicians. The result, presented in different concert proposals, is a combination of diverse materials and textures: from the wood of the cajón and the donkey quijada of Peru, to the skin of the Argentine bombo legüero , from the fragility of the Andean charango and the discourse of the guitar, from the festivity of the trumpet and the ancestrality of the Colombian gaita. Everything comes together in a combination of European, African and indigenous musical heritages, the fabric that supports the musical traditions of Latin America.

Culture is a journey with a round-trip ticket. Espírito Nativo traverses a vast geography, from Argentina to Mexico, with stops on the Peruvian coast, the Andean plateau, the Venezuelan plains, and the Caribbean islands. The chacarera goes hand in hand with the Peruvian festivity , the highland huayno gains momentum in the Venezuelan joropo , and the Cuban son is also son in Veracruz – son jarocho ! What do they say to each other? What are they looking for? Espírito Nativo starts from the universality of Latin American musical traditions to show us, in different accents, the various ways of telling our story.
